Tips
Procrastinating on roof repairs is one of the biggest mistakes a homeowner can make. What starts as a manageable, affordable fix can quickly turn into something much bigger. Here are a few tips to help identify problems before they get out of control:
1. Perform semi-annual inspections. Your roof gets hit whenever rain, hail and snow fall from the sky. That’s not to mention winter ice, or even the heat of summer sun. When we inspect your roof, we’ll look for loose shingles, loose/missing caulking and sealant, debris and much more.
2. Clean the gutters. We recommend doing this in the spring and fall. If gutters aren’t kept clean, water can pool on the roof and cause damage. A backed-up gutter can also lead to foundation problems.
3. Maintain your trees. Trees and bushes often overhang a roof, leading to falling branches and any number of other issues that can damage your investment.
We’ll be happy to talk with you about other ways to keep your roof in great shape.
